I have actually seen that jet propelled car in action at Santa Pod raceway in England. There were thousands of people in attendance. The vehicle has been proved to be safe time and time again. It appears that a puncture may have caused the crash when Richard was driving. That could happen to anyone.
Driving your car at 50mph on the congested M25 motorway is probably more risky than driving on a deserted motorway at 150mph.
Speed doesn't kill - inappropriate speed does.
To eliminate all risk would mean that you wouldn't get out of bed in the morning - and still a lightening bolt could hit your house or your home could be flooded and anyway you would die earlier than normal due to being unfit!

That is a fact.
It is totally unique amongst car programs anywhere - yes I am a petrol head and I LOVE cars. I loved them from as far back as I can remember and I will continue to be in love with cars and motorsport until I die. The unique selling point of Top Gear, and Richard Hammond is probably the main reason for this, is that it crosses that man / woman divide. Women love top gear!!!
You can be assured that every possible safety precaution would have been taken prior to Richards unfortunate accident. Yes it was an accident.
If the argument goes that he was irresponsible because he had a wife and children, then are we saying that anyone involved in any slightly risky activity such as most physical sports should be single?
Top Gear never ever promotes anything irresposible at all, all performance testing is carried out on a closed track for example.
I wish Richard Hammond a full recovery - long may he live and long may Top Gear live too! -

I gave a few talks and I (at that time) used to love giving talks on creation. I remember holding up a tennis ball and saying to the audience that if this was the sun, how far away would the earth be? Little things like that along with a bit of extra research used to liven up a talk, but I was told to stick to the outline more closely.
Also for a while I arranged the Public Talk list - this involved phoning brothers from various congregations and arranging some of their elders to come along and give a talk at our hall and we would reciprocate and send one of our elders to them.
I was told by our elders to give the talk marks out ten and I would discuss with them how well I thought the talk went - some speakers were crossed off the list and never asked again. If you knew that system was in operation you'd give a rubbish talk on purpose wouldn't you?! -

i have businesses to see to tomorrow (saturday) then perhaps i will go out for a few beers with my wife n saturday night.
sunday, catch up on a bit of paperwork and then perhaps watch the football (soccer) on the tv at our local pub.. .

No life is much more interesting now. Weekends are normally taken up with seeing the neighbours, washing our cars, gardening ( actually sounds boring all of this but it isn't). Yesterday I went to the Emirates Stadium in north London to watch Arsenal Football Club beat some northern minor team called Sheffield something or other 3-0. The Emirates Stadium is fantastic - in fact it's not a stadioum but a five star hotel which happens to have 60,000 seats! The weekend when I had to get up for field service, spend at least an hour trudging up and down some dreary street which felt like I was doing it all day, then field service again on sunday followed by a two hour meeting at the KH in which I swear time stands still during the public talk, then by the time you finally got home and ate then got the kids to bed it was time to go to work on monday again. Thanks but no thanks to all that again - give me car washing or gardening any day!

Food in London is terrible? . . . WHATEVER!!!!!
It is a known fact that London is home to the best chefs and the best cuisine not just in England, not just in Europe (and yes that includes Paris), but in fact the best in the world!
It maybe be true that not every eatery in London serves wonderful food but that is the same anywhere.
Yes I loved eating in New York too - the Deli's gave you massive choice, massive portions for a very reasonable price (I recommend Carnegies on Broadway). Evening meals not so good but Bubble and I do recommend the Four Seasons restaurant in Midtown, but if you are male don't forget to wear a jacket or you ain't getting in!
By the way Dansk - please try and at least drag the north into the 19th century! When you are working during the day you can't stop and have a 'dinner' at midday. You stop briefly for 'lunch', maybe a panini and a coffee or a sandwich and an Innocent. When we get in after a long stressful day we have a proper dinner, and no that isn't at 5 or 6pm, more like 7.30 or 8pm.
I know you are gonna say that it is much more relaxed and laid back oop north, but where would most people rather be - in the center of the universe or somewhere out in the back of beyond? -

Impending Divorce

i know i'm going to end up filing for a divorce in the near future, and i've already moved out.
but i feel terribly guilty, as i was not really in love when i married my spouse 3 years ago--and he is ending up to be such a mess for me financially and emotionally.

I agree with the above poster.
Things will definitely get better. It may take time or things may turn out better quicker than you expected.
I was sad for my kids during my divorce but my relationship with my children is stronger now than ever. I wish you luck and support. If you are sure you are doing the right thing, and by the sound of it you are, then things will work out for you in the long run.

would you have ever began studying with the witnesses for that matter or stayed in the ''truth'' if you were raised in it?.
because isn't that the golden ticket that jw's wave in front of their studies or interested ones?

I remember my mum and dad telling me that we should serve Jehovah not for the reward of everlasting life, but because we love Him and everything he has done for us.
That was quite hard to fathom out.
When I was growing up I always was thinking if I left now how many years of freedom would I have before the big A struck.
Soon I started thinking that I wouldn't want to live in paradise with all the Witton losers anyway - just take a look around you at the conventions, would you really want these people as the only ones on earth?
When I left I soon realised that it all was a load of crap and my big mistake in life was not leaving earlier.
Woofer - I liked your answer and I thought your bio was very thought provoking and interesting. I'm so glad that like me, you are happy now.
